Dr. Ash Kimmel received her B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife from Michigan State University (MSU) in 2020 and graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. She enjoys being a general practitioner and has taken a special interest in feline medicine, fear free veterinary visits, internal medicine and urgent care.
Dr. Ash Kimmel grew up in Michigan where she developed a love for all things outdoors. Growing up her family started vacationing in the mountains where she quickly fell in love with the mountains. This love was the driving force to moving to Colorado. Growing up she took a special interest in companion animals and wildlife and knew she wanted to be a veterinarian at 5 years old.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Ash Kimmel enjoys spending time backpacking, wheeling, and learning new outdoor activities.
She currently resides with her 3 cats, Mitch, Zed, and Rick.
If you were a dog breed, what would you be and why? I definitely identify more as a cat. I wish it was acceptable to sleep all day and let the zoomies out at night.
